Rob McClendon:  Grandin is the author of several books and papers about autism and animal welfare and has been featured in Time Magazine, the New York Times, and several television shows.  The latest, an HBO Biopic on her life that tells the story of how Grandin’s unique perspective helped her invent more humane slaughterhouse practices.
