Well, come on out here guys, and let's get around the tractor, so we can get a picture. Alisa: Ag mechanics class just got a whole lot more interesting with the donation of a vintage tractor. Wayne Anderson is the Ag instructor at Meeker High School. Wayne Anderson: This is a history of what these tractors are today. And you know, I don't think a lot of times, people realize, you strip all this fancy stuff off, and this is what you have; these old things look old and all that, but they're still here and what they mean to agriculture and what they've done for agriculture to get us to where we are today. Alisa: And Wayne's students are eager to begin work on the tractor. Ag mechanic student, Shelby Loy, thinks it will be just what her class needs. Shelby Loy: I think it will really bring us together as a team in here, and as a class. And I really hope it will boost some self-esteem in our FFA program. Alisa: But it will take a lot of work just to get it running. Anderson: We're planning to put it back together. Mostly what you see here is body work. You know, it will depend if the engine works what's in there, you know. The outside skin, you can replace that. It will just depend on what we find inside. Alisa: Giving these Ag students not only a challenge, but a history lesson as well.
