Math Motivation

A recent study says many of our children are ill prepared for the high paying, yet demanding jobs in the workforce they will soon enter. According to Federal Reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan, over the next fifteen years, at least three point three million jobs will move to Asia at a cost that could easily hit one hundred and thirty-six billion dollars in lost wages. To stem this flow of jobs overseas, work is underway in our state to include mathematical education in curriculum not normally associated with decimals and fractions.
